The Hunter Trade College is an incorporate not-for-profit Company limited by Guarantee and as such falls under the Corporation Act 2001 and the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission Act 2012
The College has two members, the Trustees of the Roman Catholic Church for the Diocese of Maitland-Newcastle and the Hunter Valley Training Company Pty Limited.
The College Board of Directors is drawn from Industry, Community, Training and the School sectors giving the Board a very broad level of expertise.
The boards primary function is providing Governance. This includes setting the purpose statement and strategic goals for the College, ensuring the financial integrity is maintained and the needs of the College clients, both industry and students, are met.
The board meets six times per year with its Audit Finance & Risk Sub-Committee meetings on the alternate months
The board appoints the Cheif Executive Office of the College.
