Worlds Greatest Shave

Hunter Trade College students and staff got together today to raise funds for the Leukaemia Foundation, with an outstanding effort bringing in $5,164.61.  An amazing sense of community filled the College as we learnt more about blood cancers and shared stories of courage and determination as well as honouring those we have lost.  Eleven brave souls stepped up to have their heads shaved or their hair coloured, with teachers and students standing side by side.

Thank you to everyone who contributed to our efforts through your hard work, your courage and your money!  A very special thank you to Mark Trewhella for sharing the wisdom of your journey, Marianne from the Leukaemia Foundation and Vanessa from East Maitland Barbers.  Thanks to our neighbouring businesses who let their staff come and join in! Words can't express how proud we are of our students Cooper, Jayden, Liam, Dion, Ben and Shane; teachers Dave, Geoff and Claire, and our Student Support Officer, Steve.

It's not too late to donate!  Head to http://my.leukaemiafoundation.org.au/htchairless and help in the fight against blood cancer.
