Hunter Trade College is a not-for-profit company limited by guarantee and a charity registered with the Australian Charities and Not-for-Profits Commission (ACNC). The College has two members, the Trustees of the Roman Catholic Church for the Diocese of Maitland-Newcastle and Zeal Futures (formerly HVTC).
The College Board of Directors draws from industry, community, training and school sectors, providing a wide cross-representation and a broad level of expertise.

The Board’s primary functions are to set the College’s strategic direction, ensure the College maintains financial integrity and to ensure the College meets the needs of its stakeholders, including students and industry. The Board meets six times per year with its Audit, Finance & Risk Sub-Committee meeting on alternate months.
